Associate Director, Media
What is the purpose of the role:
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Local TV/Radio team (3-5 people), ensuring accurate, timely delivery for all client projects.
- In addition to managing the team, you will also manage your own set of client accounts. Being responsible for delivery from start to finish and ensuring that you have a thorough understanding of the client themselves, their data, and their needs.
- Present to clients with confidence, become a trusted resource.
- Collaborate with Client Partners for timely delivery and align to specific client priorities.
- Act as a focal point for agency contact for project kick-off, data collection and results review.
- Become an expert in Ebiquity delivery mechanisms for reporting.
- Become an expert in Ebiquity core product solutions & methodology to accurately discuss with clients during scheduled presentations.
- Actively contributes to the enhancement & maintenance of team best practices.
- Onboard new and junior team members.
- Develop trusted relationships internally and externally.
- Manage Senior Consultant and Consultant Career Progression. Training the team in functional skills, marketplace knowledge, and industry developments, particularly related to Nielsen and Comscore.
- Interpret and evaluate client media investments to ultimately provide relevant marketplace recommendations that improve performance and increase media value.
- Identify, request, obtain, and validate data which is required to complete the analysis.
- Apply prescribed quality assurance, and analyze and interpret data to prepare for meaningful and insightful reviews

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- At least 8 years’ experience in Local TV and Radio media buying, planning, research. Local TV, Cable and Radio is required, streaming and alternative measurements is a plus.
- Extensive experience creating and delivering client-facing presentations.
- Proven leadership in managing teammates of varying experience levels (guiding the day to day as well as career development).
- Possess the combination of an analytical and story-telling mindset. You can easily review initial data sets as well as know when/how to dig deeper into the data to effectively deliver relevant insights to clients.
- Strong understanding of media strategy and media buying principles
- An analytical mind with a demonstrable numeric ability, attention to detail, and an understanding of media math.
- A comprehensive understanding of the media marketplace, current issues, and trends.
- An understanding of the use of digital (OTT) media within the linear landscape.
- Excellent communication skills (liaising with clients, agency staff, and internal stakeholders).
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to relay analysis for actionable results. PowerBI/Tableau experience is a plus.
- Demonstrable ability to learn and excel at media-specific software platforms (MediaOcean, etc.)
- Experience working on a media audit or with media monitoring companies is a strong plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to adhere to specific processes and timetables.
- Professionalism, strong work ethic, and common sense.
- Desire to continuously learn.
